P-3 Statistician, Nuclear Safeguards Laboratories October 2012 - June 2017
P-2 Junior Professional Officer, Nuclear Fuel Cycle Section February 2011 - October 2012
I started as an extrabudgetary employee, supported by the US Support Program, in the nuclear fuel cycle analysis section where I gained training in international safeguards, developed facility sampling plans for inspectors, and participating in material balance evaluations.
In October 2012 I attained a full United Nations staff position and worked on a quality management team in the Coordination and Support Services section. In this office I supported radiochemists and mass spectrometry experts in both the Nuclear and Environmental Sampling laboratories. I supported them in internal quality control, data analysis, designing and analyzing experiments, certifying reference materials, and method development and validation.
I also was responsible for managing technical aspects of the IAEA's Network of Analytical Laboratories (worldwide member support network for measurements of samples taken for international nuclear safeguards). Specifically, I adapted prescriptions from international standards for designing, analyzing, reporting, and presenting the results of interlaboratory comparisons and proficiency tests.
